The pharmacist must ensure the appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of medications in specialized areas like oncology, while serving as a subject matter expert and resolving drug-related problems. Responsibilities also include compounding medications, educating staff and patients, and overseeing technical personnel assisting with medication preparation and dispensing.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy and hold a current Pharmacist credential from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Preferred qualifications include a PGY2 Residency in Pediatric or Adult Hematology/Oncology or equivalent experience, along with board certification in Pediatrics and/or Hematology/Oncology.

How you’ll make an impact in this role Lead specialized pharmacy care by reviewing complex medication orders to prevent drug-related problems and ensure optimal patient outcomes in areas like oncology and cardiology. Consult as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), guiding clinical leadership and cross-functional teams to elevate medication safety and therapeutic protocols system-wide. Oversee technical personnel, ensuring precise compounding and dispensing of specialized medications for accurate and timely delivery of patient care. Mentor the next generation of pharmacy professionals by serving as a preceptor for students, contributing to academic growth and knowledge sharing.
Pharmacist credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy required.
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
