The Family Medicine physician will evaluate and treat patients, coordinating discharge planning and ensuring quality care. They will also participate in consultations and provide necessary documentation for insurance requirements.
Candidates must be a licensed physician (MD/DO) credentialed by the Texas Medical Board. A Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree is required.

How you’ll make an impact in this role This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Seton to provide medical services to patients. Position Highlights: Small-town medicine with Austin access Rapid population growth Lower cost of living than Austin Specialists are available to the provider due to the vast resources of Ascension Texas. Smithville has cardiology, general surgery and orthopedics on site each week
Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management. Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients. Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner. Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules (minimal call for clinic patients only) About Ascension Seton: Ascension Seton was founded by the Daughters of Charity in 1902.
