The Registered Nurse will provide direct and indirect patient care within the CMH Medical Clinic, assisting providers with daily tasks to ensure timely and efficient patient care delivery. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examination/treatment, performing telephone triage, and accurately documenting care plans in the EHR.
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse (RN) who graduated from an accredited School of Nursing and hold a current license in the state of Iowa. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with the ability to understand clinic setting concepts and proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Assist provider/staff with obtaining basic vital information preparing patient for examination, treatment and minor surgical procedures and obtaining complete medical history per protocols. Demonstrates competence in the skills necessary to carry out assigned duties. Act as a liaison with patients, family and providers demonstrating smooth and efficient telephone communication Telephone triage by providing and documenting of illness/condition; follow-up phone calls regarding patient's health and progress as necessary. Document care plans, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR) in a timely, clear, and accurate manner; along other documentation needs for continuation of care Perform other duties as requested by Clinic Administrator, Clinic Lead, and Clinical Coordinator to facilitate the smooth and effective operations of the office
