The Registered Nurse organizes and coordinates the delivery of nursing care to patient groups in compliance with hospital policies, providing direct patient care through monitoring and evaluating patient progress and interventions. He/she also recognizes, reports, and documents clinical observations, and participates in the orientation, training, and management of personnel.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a current Alabama Registered Nurse License, along with a required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The role involves organizing and coordinating nursing care delivery and direct patient interaction.
Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and coordinates delivery of nursing care to groups of patients in compliance with hospital and departmental policies, protocols and procedures. He/she provides direct patient care by monitoring physiological and behavioral status, evaluating patient progress and the effectiveness of interventions, and by performing treatments and procedures. He/she recognizes, reports and documents clinical observations. The Registered Nurse participates in orientation, training and management of personnel.
