Staff nurses will apply nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat, and evaluate patient responses across various adult critical care settings, collaboratively coordinating the continuum of care and developing patient care plans based on individual needs. Responsibilities also include implementing interventions, documenting responses, managing discharge planning, and covering assignments across different units and campuses as needed.
Required qualifications include a current Iowa nursing license and a minimum of two years of current experience in Adult Critical Care/ICU, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Educationally, an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher is required, though a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is highly desired.
An Associate’s Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Professional Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader or a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required
2 or more years of current experience with Adult Critical Care/ICU is required Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions General computer skills are required, including proficiency in managing multiple databases including Microsoft Excel Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is highly desired CRRT trained/experience is preferred If Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is not yet obtained, active enrollment in a BSN program is desirable Please include a resume with your submission.
