Provide direct nursing care and administer investigational treatments for Phase I-IV clinical trials. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure participant safety and strict adherence to research protocols.
Requires a BSN and a current Iowa nursing license with at least 3 years of acute care experience within the last 5 years. Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work flexible hours.
Required Qualifications · A Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience. · Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire. · A minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 5 years is required. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. · Ability to work occasional weekends, evenings or nights is required. · General computer skills are required. Desirable Qualifications · Pediatric nursing or oncology nursing care experience. · Professional certification in a related field of nursing or research. · Knowledge of University of Iowa Health Care, procedures and regulations. · Knowledge of Clinical Research, GCP and IRB regulations. · Strong clinical nursing skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, and assessment. · Epic experience. · ACLS and/or PALS certified.
