Direct Support Professionals will assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living tasks, including cooking, cleaning, self-care, and transportation to appointments and day programs. Responsibilities also involve medication assistance, coaching through difficult moments, and serving as a friend, mentor, and role model.
Essential requirements include possessing a high school diploma or GED, which requires uploading proof of education and transcripts with the application. Candidates must also have a big heart, lots of patience, a valid driver's license with reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check.
