The RN is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities through assessment, followed by planning and delegating care based on those needs. The role also involves evaluating the patient's response to care and ensuring progress toward expected outcomes, holding accountability for patient care outcomes during the assigned shift.
Candidates must be a graduate of a state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure, and possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in Critical Care and/or Emergency Care is strongly preferred, with flexibility for Med-Surg units. BLS certification is required before orientation completion, and ACLS is required if applicable to the unit.
