The Registered Nurse provides direct and comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients within an acute care hospital setting, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This role involves coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes, supporting surgical interventions across all age groups, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited School of Nursing, holding a current and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice, along with required certifications including BLS, ACLS, and PALS. A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience is preferred, with previous perioperative or surgical services experience being strongly advantageous.
Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Licenses/Certifications Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within time frame specified in facility policy) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required within time frame specified in facility policy) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required within timeframe specified in facility policy) Experience Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience preferred Previous perioperative or surgical services experience strongly preferred
