Operates Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, and SPECT/CT equipment to perform diagnostic imaging exams. Responsibilities include preparing radiopharmaceuticals, administering doses to patients, and ensuring quality control and radiation safety protocols.
Requires graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program and current New York State licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Must hold ARRT or NMTCB registrations in both Nuclear Medicine and CT, along with BLS certification.
Utilizes technology that merges radiopharmaceutical imaging technology with other forms for medical imaging technology for diagnostic purposes. Operates Nuclear Medicine, Positron Emission Tomography (PET/CT) and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT/CT) equipment.
