The Registered Nurse applies nursing theory and technical skills to deliver compassionate care, assessing patient needs, developing plans of care with the team, providing direct care, and evaluating patient progress throughout their episode. The role also involves patient and family education to support self-care and promoting comfort in a healing environment.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of professional nursing with a current NYS Registered Nurse license, holding BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. A minimum of 1 year of acute care experience in Med/Surg, including Moderate Sedation Competency, is required.
UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health is offering 13-week travel contracts for RNs at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital located in Penn Yan NY
Health Insurance available at the first of the month, after 30 days Day/Night and Weekend Rotations 12 hour shifts rotations 7a-7p/7p-7a
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
License: Current NYS license to practice as a Registered Nurse
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Basic Coronary Care
1-year acute care experience required in Med/Surg. Moderate Sedation Competency, Analytical skills to assess, prepare, implement and evaluate the outcomes of the plan of care of patients / families. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with people in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Computer literacy
