Staff Nurses apply nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat, and evaluate patient responses to health and illness, while collaboratively coordinating the continuum of care across settings. Duties include developing patient care plans, implementing interventions according to policies, and managing transfer/discharge planning throughout the episode of care.
Required education includes an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, or higher, along with a current Iowa nursing license by the date of hire. Candidates must demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and possess general computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel.
