Staff Nurses apply nursing theory to patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation, while collaboratively coordinating the continuum of care across settings. They develop and implement patient care plans, integrate family contributions, and manage transfer/discharge planning according to established protocols.
Required education includes an Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or higher in Nursing, along with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Candidates must possess general computer skills, proficiency in managing databases like Microsoft Excel, and a current Iowa nursing license by the date of hire.
