The Medical Assistant provides patient care under physician direction, which includes preparing patients, assisting during treatments, coordinating follow-up care, and accurately documenting all interactions in the electronic health record. Responsibilities also involve escorting patients, measuring vital signs, maintaining exam room supplies, and ensuring patient information remains confidential.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of combined education/experience required, and must hold current CPR and First Aid certifications, with CMA/RMA preferred. Essential qualifications include experience with EMR systems, proficiency in Microsoft Office, phlebotomy skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Medical Assistant provides care for the patient under the physician's direction. Includes preparing patients for exams, assisting during treatments, coordinating tests and follow-up care, and recording treatment in their electronic health record. Assists with explaining patient instructions to the patient/family. Demonstrates competency and skills to serve patients in geriatric populations.
The Medical Assistant displays an elevated level of professionalism and engages resources and fellow team members within the center to deliver high level results.
