The CT Tech 2 performs technical duties across all registered modalities, developing and monitoring procedures for effective unit utilization. They execute interpretive, patient care, and technical functions under management direction to ensure proper radiologic diagnosis while adhering to ACR guidelines and maintaining proper radiation dosing.
Candidates must possess a Technical Program in Radiologic Technologist, hold active Florida or Compact State Radiology Technologist License/Registration, and maintain ARRT certifications in both Radiography (R) and CT. A minimum of one year of experience as a CT Technologist and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are also required.
Education Technical Program Radiologic Technologist License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State Radiology Technologist Certification American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R - Radiography) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (CT - Computerized Tomography) Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross Work Experience One year experience as a CT Technologist. A working knowledge of the CT equipment is necessary.
