This role involves providing service excellence to patients and staff while performing room turnover preparation and troubleshooting equipment in the endoscopy department. Key duties include preparing, caring for, and maintaining medical equipment, ensuring proper decontamination and disinfection according to policy, and maintaining a safe environment.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and must be a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting or possess one year of current experience (within the last three years) reprocessing flexible endoscopes. Certification in Basic Life Support must be obtained within 90 days, and proficiency in decontamination and Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor Certification must be obtained within six months.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (BLS) - Basic Life Support certification (obtain within 90 days of position start, offered within) Basic computer skills. Perform other work-related duties as assigned or requested. Must be a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting or have one (1) year current experience (within the past three (3) years) reprocessing flexible endoscopes. Proficient in the decontamination and disinfection of endoscopic equipment (obtained with six (6) months) Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor Certification through CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) (obtain within six (6) months)
