The NP will assess patients of various age groups, diagnose conditions, create treatment plans, and prescribe medications, developing plans in collaboration with a physician for optimal health outcomes. Responsibilities include conducting breast exams, gynecological treatments, prenatal care, colposcopy, IUD placement, and general OB/GYN office procedures.
Candidates must have at least one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in an OB/GYN or Women’s Health clinic setting, along with the relevant national certification. An unrestricted, active state licensure or the ability to obtain one is required, as is a current DEA or the ability to obtain one.
In this role, the NP will have clinical practice experience to assess patients of various age groups and have the ability to diagnose, create treatment plans and prescribe medications as related to the treatment plan. The extender develops plans in collaboration with a physician to achieve the best health outcomes for the patient in their primary care team.
