Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily living activities and promote their independence. Responsibilities include assisting with household tasks, providing transportation, and building meaningful connections.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and be at least 18 years old. A valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and CPR/First Aid certification (which can be obtained after 90 days) are also required.
Schedule Expectations CFL provides customized supports based on each person’s Individual Service Plan (ISP). DSPs must be available to work no less than 8 hours weekly. You must be able to travel to all Solano County service areas.

Every day looks a little different — but all of it makes an impact. Responsibilities may include: Supporting individuals in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming household Helping with daily living skills such as meal prep, laundry, shopping, cleaning, and personal hygiene Encouraging independence while providing respectful assistance with health and safety needs Providing transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities Building meaningful connections and encouraging friendships Documenting services accurately and keeping communication open with CFL management Attending trainings, team meetings, and professional development sessions Promoting inclusion in the community and celebrating milestones, big or small Physical Demands DSPs may assist with mobility, including transfers with a Hoyer lift and mobility aids (training provided). This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, kneel, and maintain safe body mechanics while assisting others. CFL has a no single-lift policy to ensure the safety of both staff and individuals supported. Job Type Flexible, variable part-time position. Hours generally range from 25–40 per week and are based on the availability you share in your application.
