The respiratory therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care, including oxygen therapy, airway management, and invasive/non-invasive ventilation. They also participate in an evaluate and treat consult service to optimize patient care plans.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved respiratory care technology program and hold a current North Carolina Respiratory Care license with CRT or RRT credentials. Clinical life safety certifications including ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required by the end of the training period.
Graduate of an approved respiratory care technology program with a current North Carolina Respiratory Care license, Registered Respiratory Therapist or CRT credential, RRT preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years of current clinical respiratory care experience preferred. Clinical life safety certification requirements must be achieved prior to the end of the probationary/training period include: ACLS, PALS and NRP. Adult critical care experience is preferred
