The Clinical Dietitian conducts nutrition assessments for at-risk patients to determine and develop appropriate nutrition therapy plans, documenting findings in patient records using a multidisciplinary approach. Responsibilities also include serving as a resource for staff, participating in research, educating dietetic interns, and monitoring foodservice operations to ensure optimal patient nutritional delivery.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics and complete a Dietetic Internship or supervised practice program. Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is required, or eligibility to pass the exam within six months of internship completion.
