This role involves coordinating and performing technical activities related to dispensing specialty pharmacy prescriptions, including labeling, packaging, processing complex billing, and preparing medications for shipping according to cold chain requirements. Technicians will also support inventory management, maintain equipment, assist with training, and coordinate services with other ambulatory care pharmacies.
Candidates must register with the Pharmacy Board upon hire, and all technicians must achieve national certification (PTCB or NHA) within one year of employment or face termination. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma plus two years of post-high school experience/education in natural sciences or completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program.
