The intern will provide engagement and support in community or office settings, assisting the clinical team with tasks like risk assessments, brief interventions, and group services. Responsibilities also include developing evidence-based interventions, adhering to safety plans, and participating in documentation and care coordination meetings.
Candidates must be students currently enrolled in a Mental Health and/or Social Work Master's program. A valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for local and regional travel.

As an Intern at BHSN, you will get hands-on mental health experience by providing engagement and support in the community and/or office setting as a member of our clinical team. You will assist with risk assessments, brief interventions, clinical interventions, group services, support post crisis or post appointment while providing excellent patient care and compassion at every encounter.
Assigned clinical programs may include, and are not limited to, outpatient behavioral health clinics, school-based services, crisis services, substance abuse services, and rehabilitative programs.
