The Nurse Aide I supports the Patient & Family Centered Care model by delivering patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. This involves listening to patient perspectives, sharing information, encouraging participation in care, and collaborating in the delivery of care.
A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required for this position. Candidates must possess the Nurse Aide I licensure and preferably have one year of clinical experience as a Nurse Aide.
The Nurse Aide I supports and incorporates WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model by delivering patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The four key concepts of PFCC are: Dignity and Respect = Listen to and honor patient and family perspectives and choices; Information Sharing = Communicate and share complete and unbiased information with patients and families in ways that are affirming and useful; Participation = Patients and families are encouraged and supported in participating in care and decision-making at the level they choose; Collaboration = Patients and families and the Nurse Aide I collaborate in the delivery of care.
