The Clinical Assessor acts as the first point of contact, conducting thorough psychosocial and diagnostic assessments to determine client eligibility and service needs within behavioral healthcare programs. Responsibilities include providing efficient intake services, educating clients on treatment options, administering screening tools, and developing individualized goals and treatment plans.
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field, along with a minimum of two years of experience treating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Current Missouri licensure is preferred, and demonstrated experience in conducting clinical assessments and assigning DSM-based diagnoses is required.
Since its founding in 1985, Queen of Peace Center (QOPC) has been providing family-centered behavioral healthcare for women, children, and families. As a member of the Federation of Catholic Charities, we serve the metropolitan and surrounding St. Louis area through four core programs: prevention, education, treatment, and housing.
The QOPC Clinical Assessor serves as both a welcoming first point of contact and a skilled clinical professional for individuals seeking services. In this role, you will build trusting relationships with new clients while conducting thorough psychosocial and diagnostic assessments to determine eligibility and service needs. Using your clinical judgment, you will help guide clients into the programs that best support their goals and well-being.
