As the leader of the health care team, the Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process according to established standards, policies, and procedures. Essential responsibilities include demonstrating proficiency in leadership, executing the nursing process for individualized patient care plans, ensuring accurate documentation, and achieving clinical outcomes.
Candidates must have a minimum of one year of recent full-time equivalent experience in an acute care setting within the clinical area of specialty, or meet specific criteria for new graduates/inexperienced RNs including graduation from an approved RN program with sufficient clinical training hours. A Registered Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification are required, along with successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia course.

Demonstrates performance consistent with the Medical Center Vision, Mission, and Strategic Plan of the organization. Remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats co-workers, patients, families, and all members of the health care team with dignity and respect.
May be required to work rotating weekends.
BSN preferred.
