The Registered Nurse identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, and subsequently plans and delegates care based on those identified needs. The RN is accountable for the outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift, evaluating patient response and progress toward expected outcomes.
Candidates must be a graduate of a state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure, and while experience is preferred, new graduates are accepted. Required certifications include BLS before the orientation conclusion, and ACLS must be obtained within one year of hire.
