Provide palliative care for children with chronic and life-threatening conditions and their families. Participate in medical evaluations, symptom management, and collaborate with the primary care team.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO and be board eligible or certified in Pediatrics. They should also have the authority to prescribe medications and be eligible to work in the United States.
Provide palliative care for children facing chronic, complex and/or life-threatening conditions and their families in the clinic, hospital, long-term care facility, or home. Provide palliative care for mothers whose babe has been diagnosed with chronic, complex and/or life-threatening condition in utero and their families in the hospital or clinic. Participate in comprehensive medical and psychosocial evaluation of patients and families, skilled and meticulous symptom management, and discharge planning and continuity of care. Serve as clinical and educational role model and mentor. Provide care and support in collaboration with the primary care team. Ensure compliance with practice standards and codes.
