The psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients in an outpatient setting. They will also provide medication management and therapy while collaborating with other mental health professionals.
Candidates must have an active Florida licensure and be a board-certified psychiatrist. A minimum of 2 years of experience treating a diverse age range in private practice is required.
Active, unrestricted medical license in Florida Board-Certified Psychiatrist (MD required) Bilingual Spanish speaking provider preferred as based on client need Possess and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) number and all other licenses and certificates that may be lawfully required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances; Minimum of 2 years’ experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and older adults (ages 5–80) in private practice Strong understanding of psychiatrist assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic techniques Knowledge of evidence-based interventions in psychiatric treatment About APG APG Health specializes in providing effective and efficient behavioral health care, psychiatric care and family counseling. Today, APG Health is the largest outpatient behavioral healthcare clinic in the Central Florida Area with providers providing care and support for more than twenty thousand clients.
APG Health provides behavioral healthcare services to Orlando residents that include psychiatric care for adults and children, mental health counseling, on-site ADHD testing, and clinical trials and studies for eligible candidates. We are staffed by over twenty providers, and numerous support staff that include Psychiatrists, Adult Registered Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Mental Health Counselors with a range of specialties in the field of psychiatry.
