The primary role involves operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment, preparing patients for examinations, and ensuring necessary data is collected for physician diagnosis. Responsibilities include performing thorough patient screenings, administering IV and oral contrast agents, and executing various MRI procedures.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and hold New York State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist with IV contrast administration certification. Required credentials include ARRT registration and Magnetic Resonance Imaging R.T.(MR)(ARRT) within eighteen months of entry, along with current Basic Life Support certification and prior radiology experience.
