The Therapist provides recovery-focused clinical services, including diagnostic assessments and the development of individual treatment plans for clients with mental illness and substance abuse issues. They are responsible for managing a caseload, providing clinical direction to staff, and collaborating with community resources.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in behavioral science and be registered with MHACBO or hold a valid Oregon license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or Psychologist). A valid driver's license and the ability to pass background checks are also required.
Annual equivalent of $82,492 to $102,876 (prorated by FTE). If licensed in Oregon (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) this position would include a $3.00/hr license differential that is equivalent to an additional $6,240 per year (prorated by FTE).
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Provides effective and efficient management of an appropriate sized caseload of clients. Size of caseload is based on additional responsibilities, clients' level of acuity, and agency need.
Maintains clinical responsibility for the counseling of clients who have a mental illness and substance abuse problems, if present.
Screens clients, performs assessments and assessment updates.
Develops and updates individual treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team and clients.
Develops and maintains therapeutic client relationships with close adherence to client-directed services.
Assesses symptoms and manages immediate crisis including danger to self or others, and implements crisis intervention plan if necessary.
Implements treatment planning goals, utilizing program-specific evidence based practices.
Provides clinical direction to QMHA-Ievel staff (case managers, skills trainers, mental health associates).
Works collaboratively with community resources to help clients with social development, housing needs, accessing employment and other income resources, and medical coverage. These resources may include- but are not limited to-family, HUD and Social Security.
This position requires a Master's degree in a behavioral science, an understanding of co-occurring disorders, and related experience.
Experience with substance abuse treatment for dually diagnosed clients preferred.
Must be a QMHP on the Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) registry.

Must be registered as a licensure intern with the State of Oregon or be licensed in Oregon as an LMFT, LCSW, LPC or clinical Psychologist.
In order to avoid potential conflict of interest, applicants for this position cannot have received services from Options for Southern Oregon within the last 12 months.
Candidates must be able to use e-mail, compose documents, save and locate documents electronically, and learn to use our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Proficiency in Word and other MS Office applications preferred.
Must pass state-required background and DMV checks; possess a valid OR driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. Candidate must be able to work independently and flexibly, under general supervision.
