Perform all aspects of in-center and out-of-center sleep study acquisition and analysis. Responsibilities include patient preparation, electrode application, scoring sleep studies, and maintaining lab equipment.
Requires a high school diploma and preferred graduation from a CAAHEP or CoARC accredited polysomnography program. Must hold or be eligible for certifications such as RPSGT, RRT-SDS, or RST, and have BLS certification.
Final candidates will be selected for a job title within the career ladder that reflects level of education, experience, and manager discretion at time of offer. Sleep Technologist: HS graduate and graduate from an education program in polysomnography accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) preferred with sleep credential from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT), the National Board of Respiratory Care (CRT-SDS or RRT-SDS) or the American Board of Sleep Medicine (RST). Senior Sleep Technologist: HS graduate and graduate from an education program in polysomnography accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) preferred with sleep credential from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT), the National Board of Respiratory Care (CRT-SDS or RRT-SDS) or the American Board of Sleep Medicine (RST).
BLS required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
