The X-Ray Technician performs digital X-ray studies on patients as ordered by providers, ensuring safe and professional execution of radiographic examinations including proper positioning and radiation protection. Essential duties also involve accurately documenting patient encounters in the EMR, maintaining clinical skills, collecting specimens, running point of care lab tests, and potentially assisting with administrative tasks like registration and scheduling.
Candidates must possess certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and potentially state licensure. Preferred qualifications include an Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute and one year of experience in radiation safety and patient care, along with familiarity with Radiology Information Systems.
