Peer Recovery Support Specialists advocate for individuals in recovery, share resources, and facilitate skill-building activities. They also provide crisis support, lead recovery groups, and mentor individuals in managing life roles.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and lived experience of recovery from substance use disorders. Preferred qualifications include experience working with consumers facing substance use challenges and a state or nationally recognized peer certification.
