The Registered Nurse is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities through assessment, and then planning and delegating care based on those identified needs. The RN must also evaluate the patient's response to care and progress toward expected outcomes, remaining accountable for all patient care outcomes during the assigned shift.
Candidates must be graduates of an Accredited School of Nursing and hold current Alabama licensure; experience is preferred but new graduates are accepted. Required certifications include BLS before the end of orientation and ACLS within one year of hire.
Overview The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.
Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama licensure.
