This role involves performing a full range of secretarial and administrative duties for a specific department, including typing correspondence, acting as a receptionist, and managing department files and records. Duties also extend to processing payroll, entering data into information systems, and maintaining office supplies.
Candidates need clerical training or experience, along with some knowledge of the unit's operational procedures, typically equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. A minimum of one to two years of clerical or administrative experience is required for this position.
Overview Clinical Manager, Outpatient Services Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift Blount Clinic: We provide mental health services for those experiencing psychiatric illnesses or symptoms. Our team of mental health professionals provide: Psychiatry Group, individual and family therapy Care Coordination Support Groups Medication management Assessment and referral services
Oversees the provision of services and the implementation of the business plan at designated service sites. Assures that services are provided by qualified professionals and are compliance with all requirements. Responsible effective coordination of services by providers and facilitating supervision of clinical staff. Develops performance targets and assures their successful completion. Provides leadership for continuous quality improvement for the clinic’s services, operations and functions. Provides clinical and administrative leadership, guidance, support, and supervision to program employees of all disciplines.
Accountable for effective delivery of patient care in designated outpatient service sites through clinical supervision, evaluation of staff, training, direct observation, consumer feedback, consultation with physicians, role modeling, and providing other resources to staff as needed. Accountable for developing and implementing the program’s business plan that supports the strategic plan of Parkwest Medical Center. Assures that productivity targets are met. Coordinates the utilization management plan for physicians and nurse practitioners with the providers and senior management. Ensures compliance with regulatory agency requirements (the Joint Commission, state agencies, etc.) Medicare, and other payers, as related to patient care and clinical documentation activities. Responsible for development, implementation, adherence, and monitoring of annual operating budget. Accountable for marketing and census building activities for the outpatient programs. Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with actual or prospective referral sources. Develops and implements annual marketing plan for the program. Serves as the program’s primary representative to external constituents through committee meetings, board memberships, public speaking, etc. Interfaces with Primary Care Physicians and specialists within the Covenant Health system to facilitate awareness and utilization of services. Responsible for hiring, training, completion of performance evaluations, and discipline of employees. Provides clinical consultation and education upon request to other programs and facilities of Peninsula. Accountable for the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of care and standards of practice for the program. Participates in the development and implementation and/or revision of Outpatient Services clinical policies and procedures and quality improvement projects. Facilitates communication between program and other departments of Parkwest. Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Education Masters degree in health care; Nursing, Social Work, Psychology or related fields. Minimum Experience Two (2) years supervisory experience required. Experience in behavioral health setting preferred. Licensure Requirement Must have current TN License as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Therapist/Social Worker. RN License
