The associate eye care provider will deliver high-quality eye care, including comprehensive exams, diagnosis and management of ocular and systemic diseases, prescribing treatment, and providing patient education across pediatric to geriatric populations. This role also involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to manage chronic conditions and helping establish and grow a new satellite clinic by contributing to clinical workflows.
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Optometry (OD) or a medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Ophthalmology, and must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia. Prior experience in community health or safety-net settings is preferred, along with an openness to learning about structural inequities affecting patient health.

Bread for the City is seeking a part-time eye care provider for a new clinic location that is a part of an expansion of our established vision services currently offered at the NW DC site.
The associate eye care provider will deliver high-quality eye care, including comprehensive eye exams, diagnosis and management of ocular and systemic eye diseases, prescribing treatment and corrective lenses, and providing patient education. The role also involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to manage site-threatening chronic conditions.
