The Registered Nurse will utilize assessments, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to provide care in the MedSurg Department, potentially advancing to ED and ICU, while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include establishing patient rapport, providing emotional and spiritual support, promoting patient independence through education, assuring quality of care by adhering to standards, and resolving patient problems using multidisciplinary strategies.
Candidates must possess a minimum of an Associate Degree Nurse qualification and hold an active Illinois RN License in good standing. Required training includes annual education/competencies, and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications must be obtained within one year; one year of nursing experience is preferred but not mandatory.
