The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating the Plan of Care for assigned patients during their shift, which includes performing initial and ongoing assessments and analyzing patient data to prioritize and provide direct care. This role also involves developing a collaborative Plan of Care, supervising assistive personnel, and coordinating teaching and discharge planning.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing Program and hold a current, unrestricted RN License in the State of Nebraska. While no prior experience is strictly required, previous experience is preferred, and new graduates are explicitly welcomed.

The Registered Nurse (RN) works under the direct supervision of the Nursing Director. The RN assesses, organizes and synthesizes data to develop a Plan of Care through the use of the nursing process and theoretical and experiential knowledge. The RN utilizes critical thinking to plan and select appropriate interventions for patient care that result in the desired patient outcomes. The RN directs and accepts the responsibility for immediate supervision of assistive personnel. The RN participates in the orientation of new employees. Patients served at Chadron Community Hospital and Health Services (CCH) includes infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
Current RN License in the State of Nebraska without restrictions.
None required, but preferred.
