The Lab Tech Assistant prepares specimens for analysis by registering, accessioning orders, verifying acceptability, and performing pre-analytical and analytical laboratory procedures. This role also involves performing phlebotomy and specimen collection, maintaining inventory, stocking supplies, conducting waived testing, and preparing slides.
A High School Degree or GED is required, though an Associate's degree in Biology or Chemistry is preferred. Laboratory experience and data/keyboarding experience are preferred but not mandatory for this position.
