The Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for delivering treatment to residents or patients according to the physical therapy plan established by the therapist. This role also involves interacting professionally with residents, family members, responsible parties, and other members of the healthcare team.
Candidates must possess current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in good standing to qualify for this position. The role requires adherence to professional standards set by the American Association of Physical Therapy and the Department of Health.
Overview The PT Assistant is responsible for providing treatment for residents/patients under the physical therapy plan of care as established by the therapist.
Also interacts with residents/patients, family members, responsible party and other health care team members, while maintaining standards of professional conduct. This position must comply with regulatory standards of the American Association of Physical Therapy, the Department of Health, and any other professional guidelines or standards.
