They will also ensure patient safety during examinations and stay updated with advancements in radiology.
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and have active board certification by the American Board of Radiology. A valid medical license to practice in Washington State is also required.

MultiCare is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist skilled professional with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of interpreting medical images, providing accurate diagnosis and collaborating with medical teams for the best treatment plan for the MultiCare Yakima facilities. The Radiologists shall work closely with referring physicians, other radiology professionals and technologists to complete imaging studies in a timely manner. Responsibilities Reviewing and interpreting medical images to determine patient status and future medical care. Determining the exact images protocols required for diagnosis and to Radiological Technologists. Administering trace amounts of radioactive substances, contrast injections and medications to create and enhance diagnostic images when applicable. Performing minimally invasive surgical techniques such as biopsy, pain procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and arthrography with image guidance. Collaborating with physicians to evaluate patient health and determine appropriate radiologic techniques. Providing precise diagnosis and treatment recommendations based on the interpretation of imaging results. Ensuring the safety of patients during radiologic examinations by following established safety procedures and regulations. Staying updated with the latest advancements in radiology and participating in continuous professional development. Provides direct patient care in a hospital setting to adults with acute and chronic medical conditions and who serves as a consultant to other physicians. Performing interpretation of diagnostic radiologic studies generated in the sub modalities of computed tomography, general radiography, fluoroscopy, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine, DEXA, and ultrasonography. Responsible for performing formal study interpretation, radiologic procedures, tumor board representation and consultation within the sub modalities of computed tomography, general radiography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine, mammography and ultrasonography in collaboration with other health care providers. The Radiologist may be assigned administrative or managerial responsibilities through participation in clinical, educational, and administrative committees, task groups or special projects. Independently perform Imaging procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, aspirations, FNAs abscess drain, fluoroscopy, joint injections including pre-MRI and CT arthrograms, fluoroscopy studies such as upper and lower GI studies, hysterosalpingograms, and abscess aspirations as applicable. Adheres to unrestricted call requirements per MultiCare by-laws. Requirements Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (MD or DO) required. Active board certification by the American Board of Radiology or a graduate of a residency program which granted board eligibility in the practice of radiology by the American Board of Radiology. License to practice medicine in Washington State required; current State medical license in good standing with medical board required.
