The Respiratory Therapist Specialist will provide critical care, emergency response, and critical care transport for pediatric patients. This role requires proficiency in emergency procedures and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be licensed by the ASBRT and registered by the NBRC. Experience in adult critical care and emergency response is preferred, along with certifications in ACLS and BLS.
Overview This position represents scheduled respiratory therapists specialized in providing critical care, emergency response, and critical care transport for pediatrics and neonates.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: HS/GED Required. Must be licensed by the ASBRT and registered by the NBRC or credentialed as a Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) by the NBRC. PALS, ACLS, and NRP are mandatory within 6 months. Certification of BLS is preferred for hire processes and required within the orientation period, not to exceed 90 days of hire or transfer. Certification of ACLS is preferred.
