Maryland Wellness is seeking a compassionate, licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team, serving clients in Cumberland, Maryland. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in our Cumberland office. In this role, you will support clients in developing cognitive, emotional, and social skills; building effective coping strategies for managing mental health symptoms, and navigating life challenges.
As a therapist with Maryland Wellness, you will collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that outline both short-term and long-term goals, utilizing a range of therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's unique needs and circumstances. You will be responsible for monitoring and documenting progress toward these goals, addressing urgent mental health concerns as they arise and working closely with other members of the client's treatment team to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care. When appropriate, you'll assist clients in accessing additional resources or higher levels of care to best support their wellness journey.
All services will be provided in alignment with Maryland Wellness' clinical standards and in compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct individual, family, and group counseling with clients. This role will be hybrid, requiring 2 days per week in the office. Complete a minimum of 25 billable sessions per week. Onsite services will be discussed with direct supervisor, if applicable. Conduct a review of clinical information and caseload at the minimum of twice per week to ensure accuracy and up-to-date client information. Meet weekly, biweekly or monthly with direct supervisor or at a frequency determined by supervisor for ongoing support to build caseload and meet job expectations. Optional participation in group supervision once per month. Utilize evidence-based treatments that appropriately address the client’s diagnosis and needs. Diagnose clients based on individual history, symptoms, and behaviors utilizing ICD codes. Identify needs and preferences of clients for treatment, and make recommendations for level of care, treatment goals, and needed services. Be responsible for reporting any potential critical incident immediately to direct supervisor. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all documentation, such as: Intakes/Assessment upon admission. Treatment Plan (initial and ongoing), in accordance with COMAR regulations. Group and one-on-one notes completed within 24-48 hours. Referrals for various additional services. Discharge Summaries as needed. Communicate regularly and consistently with staff members and its affiliate organizations in regards to scheduling, documentation, and client care. Maintain scheduled client appointments based on an agreed-upon schedule. Assist with mental health emergencies as needed. Be a positive representative of the organization by upholding standard messaging and its brand to clients, internal and external providers, referring partners, community affiliates, and any other external third party. Attend scheduled meetings or trainings on- time as assigned; or make efforts to communicate any tardiness or absenteeism. Such meetings include (but are not limited to): Company-wide staff meetings Assigned trainings or forums Clinical Supervisions Check-ins with supervisors and management Appointments with clients, providers, or external partners
Ability to deliver quality of care in line with the local, state, and federal government laws. Must have one of the following licenses : LCPC, LMSW, LGPC, LCSW & LCSW-C. Ability to deliver quality of care in line with the policies and expectations of accreditation bodies such as CARF. The ability to effectively build relationships with individuals of all ages, ethnicity, education, and work experience. Respect for individual differences and multicultural diversity. Maintains confidentiality and all regulations regarding HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Exhibits professionalism and a friendly demeanor, and is a positive representative of the company. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Comfort with computers and technology as needed to input clinical documentation. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients and scheduling. Utilizing professionally accepted interventions and evidence-based practice. Excellent interpersonal and therapeutic skills Establish and maintain rapport with clients and willing to continue services despite client engagement level Reliable, ethical, and honest work ethic.
