The RN provides comprehensive nursing care primarily in the Emergency Department and may float to the Inpatient Unit as needed. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients with acute and chronic health conditions.
Candidates must have a current RN license in Missouri and an Associate Degree in Nursing, with a BSN preferred. Current BLS certification is required upon hire, and ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within six months of hire.
Description The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical/Surgical department is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care services, within the scope of practice, under the supervision and direction of the Director. This role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team. The RN must adhere to the hospital’s policies and procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State of Missouri Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) Previous experience in the Medical/Surgical or similar setting preferred. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
