The Ultrasonographer acts as a professional diagnostician, working closely with physicians, nurses, and medical imaging technologists to accurately diagnose medical disorders. This role involves performing invasive procedures utilizing current technologies.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved school of medical ultrasonography with credentials in ultrasound, such as ARDMS, and possess at least one year of clinical experience in medical ultrasonography. Six months of experience performing invasive ultrasound-guided procedures with a medical doctor is preferred.
Graduate of an approved school of medical ultrasonography with credentials in ultrasound (such as ARDMS-American Registry of Diagnostic Medical ultrasonographers) and at least one-year clinical experience in medical ultrasonography required. At least six months experience working with a medical doctor in performance of invasive ultrasound-guided procedures preferred. Additional credentials are beneficial, though not required, in any of the following fields: nursing, radiology, vascular or cardio-vascular.
