The Program Specialist II assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ranging from Pre-K through adolescents, focusing on daily living activities, maintaining a safe environment, and managing harmful behaviors. This role also requires participation in crisis intervention, teaching, group processes, and being available for on-call duties as needed.
A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in psychology, child development, social work, or a related field, along with required certifications like CPR-BLS and CPI training completed within 60 days of starting. Experience in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment and pediatric experience are preferred.
