The Physical Therapist Assistant will work directly with patients, implementing therapeutic exercises and administering modalities like massage and ultrasound to aid in mobility, strength, and pain relief. Responsibilities also include collaborating with the team, developing therapy programs, evaluating patient progress, and documenting all care provided.
Candidates must possess an Associate Degree in Science or Applied Science from an accredited institution and hold an active PTA License in Ohio, along with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Previous experience in physical therapy or rehabilitation is preferred, and the role requires willingness to travel to patients' homes.
Must be willing to travel to patients’ homes to provide care. Previous experience in physical therapy, rehabilitation, or other areas preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills. Ability to build rapport with in-home patients, Physical Therapist (PT) and Assisted Living Facility (ALF)/Independent Living Facility (ILF staff), as necessary. Work in a fast-paced, flexible work environment. Must be able to handle the physical workload with kindness, compassion, and empathy. Strong leadership qualities. Why Summit?
