The Speech Language Pathologist provides prescribed speech and language services, which includes assessing functional status, identifying defects, recommending communication aids, and developing and directing the treatment plan of care. Responsibilities also involve regularly re-evaluating patient progress, instructing personnel, maintaining communication with supervisors, and collaborating with the physician and team members on the overall plan of care.
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, hold a current and active State License, and have the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology from ASHA. Additional requirements include current CPR certification, meeting state-specific professional experience regulations, and demonstrating good observation, judgment, and communication skills.
