Essential duties include escorting patients, recording vital signs, obtaining necessary records, preparing and stocking exam rooms, and assisting physicians with exams and procedures. The role also involves maintaining room disinfection protocols and performing various administrative tasks like filing and chart preparation.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and require 0-3 years of experience as a medical or nursing assistant, making this an entry-level position. Current BLS certification is mandatory for this role.
Pay Range: $17.00 - $23.48 per hour ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Escorts patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate. Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes. Obtains all necessary patient records as required by physician prior to treatment or procedures. Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms. Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested. Maintains all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols. Responds to patients’ calls as requested Performs other administrative duties, i.e. typing, filing faxing, chart preparation, medical paperwork (FMLA, PFL), etc, as requested by supervisor or physician. Alerts nurse/physician of abnormal vitals, any important information given by patient.
High school graduate or equivalent. This is an entry level position requiring 0-3 years’ experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant. Current BLS certification required.
