The Radiology Technologist performs general diagnostic radiological imaging studies under physician direction, which includes positioning patients correctly to show anatomy and pathology. This role also involves operating radiation-producing equipment, electronic Radiology systems, and preparing patient rooms, equipment, and medications.
Candidates must be a trade school graduate in Radiologic Technology and possess 7 to 12 months of sound experience with straightforward procedures, along with 4 to 6 months of basic managerial experience coordinating others' work. Registry-eligible graduates must obtain ARRT registry within 180 days of hire.
Sentara is hiring a Radiology Technologist in the Williamsburg area!!! This is a Full-Time Day shift opportunity with GREAT BENEFITS!!! A bonus of 10K is available for qualified candidates. The Radiology Technologist conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within the scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, including positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation-producing equipment, operation of the electronic Radiology systems and preparation of patient room/equipment/medications. Phlebotomy competency for lab may be required for certain sites that do both Radiology and Lab.
